Our Basic RePL Sub 7KG includes the complete CASA Remote Pilot's License ( RePL) Course with the exclusion of the Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate ( AROC ) that is included in our RePL courses option A and B.
Our basic full RePL course is predominantly online, recorded and live Zoom sessions for RePL theory plus face to face theory exam. Additional face-to-face theory time if needed and minimum 5 hours practical flying plus your rePL flight test. This option is best suited to those who wish to have their full RePL but either don't need or already have their Radio license. The self-paced study option is great for anyone with a schedule of other work or commitments, single parenting, or wishing to have a change of career on their own terms.The RePL course is the foundation of your career in unmanned aviation offering multiple upgrade paths to different aircraft, aircraft systems, weight categories, night and instrument flight / BVLOS ( Beyond Visual Line of Sight ) operations. The unmanned industry is rapidly evolving as are the opportunities to be involved in it as a new career path or to develop your own. This course is also popular amongst those who simply wish to expand their RPAS knowledge and get the most out of their flying, and understand the rules around what can, and can't be done.
The course comprehensively covers all CASA units of training for operations of unmanned aircraft in and around manned airspace. By the end of the course, you'll understand the aircraft themselves, their systems, weather, navigation and charting, publications, air law, operations, human performance and automation.
Your CASA RePL initial issue license is a 25KG category with a 7KG restriction allowing you to operate in the 'included' category of commercial RPA Ops. For commercial operation of larger RPA - whether that be for spraying, larger payloads, multiple cameras and imaging payloads, plus the majority of specialised RPA applications, RPA above 7KG are often used.
